George Odenwaller was our friend and part-time Dog House Saloon bartender. He passed away last year and he is deeply and sorely missed.

Georges parents have created a Memorial Fund in his name. On Sept 18th.  We will be raising money for “The Valley Homecare Butterflies Program” in Georges Memory.

The “Butterflies Program” is a program for Infants and children with life-limiting /threatening illnesses, that need special care that can be provided in their home where they can be most comfortable. This Program focuses on the comfort and relief of suffering for the child and offers support for their parents, siblings and extended family members. We are honored to have been asked to host this event and hope that you will help us to make it a huge success..Thanks!

  1. For reasons unexplainable the Name, George Odenwaller flashed across my mind tonight. He and I had mutual interests in model building when kids and lived on Wayne Ave in Cliffside Park N.J.
Sorry to hear he passed away It would have been a pleasure to reconnect again after all these wonderful years . He was a good person and motivated my early goals in life.
    My condolences to his family

  2. Thanks, Fred. George was a solid guy — friendly, funny, and well-liked by all. He tended bar at the Dog House Saloon for a few years before moving to Florida, which is where he passed away. He was loved by the owner, staff, and the patrons. He’ll be missed.
